The Prime Minister: No celebrations or meetings on New Years due to Corona

Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, today began the cabinet meeting under his presidency, highlighting the application of precautionary measures to face the emerging coronavirus, facing laxity and violating these measures with the utmost firmness, highlighting that there is a clear course for all ministries and relevant authorities in this regard, within the framework of the State’s work to the greatest extent possible. Avoid the complete closure of the facilities to avoid the economic impacts associated with this step, which clearly affect the lives of citizens, so the State will not accept complacency in the implementation of the measures.

The Prime Minister ordered the Ministers of Health and Higher Education to allocate a sufficient number of hospitals for isolation, and to provide the necessary treatment to those infected by the Corona virus, as well as to provide the necessary oxygen to all hospitals, as well as well as those who need it from among the citizens, and also stressed that there are no celebrations or gatherings in the New Year, as part of the precautionary measures to counteract the Coronavirus.

For his part, Major General Mahmoud Sharawi, Minister of Local Development, confirmed that the last five days have witnessed more than one meeting with the governors, through videoconferencing technology, to confirm the implementation of precautionary measures and give monitoring compliance with this matter, noting that it is coordinating with the Ministry of the Interior to increase the number of campaigns to ensure this, and tonight a meeting will be held with the Minister of Health and the governors to follow up on efforts to confront the Corona virus.

On the other hand, and within the framework of the efforts being made to move to the new administrative capital, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly indicated that the Central Organization and Administration Organization, in cooperation with one of the international institutions, undertakes the restructuring of ministries, bodies and their affiliated agencies, highlighting the need for each minister himself to follow these measures. Attend meetings with the head of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration, to review proposals in this regard and approve new structures for all ministries.
