Al-Ahly general coach Kevin Johnson has decided on the formation in which he will face Niger champion Sonideb in the context of the 32 return matches of the African Champions League competition.
Kevin Johnson leads Al-Ahly for the second consecutive game, replacing his South African compatriot Pitso Musimane, the team’s coach, who is absent due to an infection with the new Corona virus (Covid 19).
The formation of Al-Ahly will not undergo many changes, since the change will be in the position of the offensive midfield by pushing Taher Mohamed Taher instead of Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, who will be absent due to his contagion with Corona.
Al-Ahly will face the Nigerian champion, missing the other duo, Amr Al-Soulia and Rami Rabia, due to Corona infection, along with the trio Walid Suleiman, Nasser Maher and Marwan Mohsen.
Al-Ahly is expected to play in their usual form (4-2-3-1), provided the formation is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Mohamed El-Shennawi.
Defense line: Ali Maaloul – Ayman Ashraf – Badr Banoun – Muhammad Hani.
Defensive midfield: Hamdi Fathy – Aliou Diang.
Attacking midfield: Giraldo – Taher Mohamed Taher – Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”.
Offensive line: Mohamed Sharif.
Al-Ahly are the holders of the African Champions League title after defeating their rival Zamalek by two goals to one in the final match, and the red team is the most crowned in the continental competition with nine titles.
