The Al-Ahly club is going through a crisis after the Basketball Association decided to hold a match for the red “men’s” team against Sporting on Wednesday in the semi-finals of the linked league championship, after 3 players were exposed to the Corona virus .

The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Basketball Federation headed by Magdy Abu Fraikha issued today, Tuesday, the decision that the matches will be postponed in one case, which is the injury of more than 6 players from the same team.

The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Basketball Federation ordered the club to send its players to perform a swab under the supervision of the federation’s medical committee, provided that the club that requested the postponement bears the costs of that swab.

A source in Al-Ahly, Leela Koura, said: “We are trying to postpone the match on the grounds that the strength of the team being registered reaches only 15 players and that 5 players mainly participate as follows in the system of game”.
