Books – Ali Al-Bahji:
They made their home from the mountain tops of Mecca. They sat close despite the ruggedness of the surrounding area. They came from every “alley”, the ancient city, which is a few kilometers from the Great Mosque of Mecca, to see the final of one of the tournaments. A scene that only needs to be documented, and this is what one of the photographers has already done, so that these images have a lot of admiration and participation through social networks.
Recently, several images taken from a talk show in the holy city of Mecca have been broadcast at a football match, which many young people are watching from the mountains and rooftops.
Masrawy got in touch with the owner of the images distributed and with one of the players who participated in the final match of this tournament.
Yasser Bakhsh, 27, has known himself as a professional soccer photographer for more than a year, doing photography work for a Saudi club and the Professional League.
He starts talking about the photo-taking scenes that caused interaction in most Arab countries, bringing the interaction in those images to nearly two million likes, and says: “I received an invitation from a friend in the neighborhood. of Al-Kadwa in Mecca to cover the final match of the “talk show” championship at the workshop stadium, between the workshop youth teams and Rei Tim, who won the latter with penalty kicks.
Yasser recalls that this stadium was in this neighborhood for more than 3 years before its birth and witnessed the departure of many talents from Saudi football, the most prominent being Osama Hawsawi, Muhammad Nour and Nasser Al-Shamrani.
He continues: “There are many stadiums in Mecca, but this stadium is distinguished by its distinctive appearance, since it is located about 3 kilometers from the Great Mosque of Mecca, and the novelty is that the surrounding houses have been painted to do so more attractive”.
He continues: “I did not find any difficulties in taking pictures other than climbing to the top of the mountain, and I did not expect the reaction that occurred after the publication of the photographs.”
As for Othman, known as “Soma”, one of the players who participated in the tournament, he says that his age at this stadium exceeds 10 years since he was a child while playing there.
Othman continues: “I started more than 10 years ago. Before that, I watched games because the stadium is close to my home.”
He explained that he has a long history with this stadium, the latest of which is the coronation of the championship, noting that playing there does not stop throughout the year, even on the days of Eid and Hajj.
He pointed out that the teams play matches made up of 6 players for each team, highlighting that despite the intense competition between the teams, there was no dispute.
He concluded: “Annual tournaments were held in this stadium, one for different age groups and one for open age, and it came in the latest version of the final and it was one of the strongest tournaments.”
