Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, announced the development of a plan to monitor the distribution mechanism for coronavirus vaccines, within the framework of the political leadership’s desire to address the coronavirus and limit its spread, and within the strategy of the state to take care of the public health of the citizens.

This occurred during a meeting that the Minister held tonight, Sunday, through videoconferencing technology, with ministerial leaders, agents of the Ministry of Health and directors of directorates at the level of the Republic, in order to facilitate citizens who will receive the vaccine, according to the priorities of the first phase, according to the Prime Minister’s guidelines.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, explained that the target groups to receive the vaccine will be registered through an online application dedicated to registration and linked to an operating system. specific, since the registry includes medical teams in isolation, fever and chest hospitals as the first stage, indicating that it will be carried out. Entering the private data and making available all the information about the vaccine for review, and the doses will be delivered to the medical staff at their places in the hospitals, after registration through the application, and they will be followed up and ensured The second dose is received at 21 days.

Mujahid went on to say that the vaccine will be delivered to citizens according to the categories of patients who deserve it based on the recommendations of the Scientific Committee to combat Coronavirus, referring to the coordination between the Ministries of Health, Population and Interior, and the Governors at the Republic level and all interested authorities, to identify the main centers in the governorates to receive doses of the Corona virus vaccine for the groups. He noted that the minister confirmed that Egypt has taken a historic step thanks to the support and directives of the political leadership to obtain the vaccine against the emerging corona virus, beginning with Egypt’s participation in clinical trials in its third phase of the vaccine against the Coronavirus produced by the Chinese company (Sinopharma), as part of the “ For Humanity ” initiative. »In cooperation with the Chinese government and UAE G42 company.

He noted that the minister thanked all the medical teams that worked in the hospitals during the management of the Coronavirus crisis, confirming the support of the political leadership for the medical teams for their efforts and sacrifices to serve the country in addressing the coronavirus pandemic.
