The English newspaper “Telegraph” raised more questions about the future of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah at the English club, following his interview with the Spanish newspaper “AS”.
Salah added ambiguity about his future with the Premier League champion, after confirming in his interview that he did not rule out anything in the future, including the possibility of moving to Barcelona or Real Madrid (for more details from here).
Salah was not satisfied with that but admitted he was disappointed not to take the captaincy in the sixth and final round of the Champions League group stage against Maitland.
Jurgen Klopp preferred to give the captaincy to Trent Alexander-Arnold, which upset Salah, according to Al-Masry himself (see details here).
According to the English newspaper “The Telegraph”, the timing of Mohamed Salah’s statements will cause panic in Anfield.
He explained that the reason for this is not only due to the timing, but the content of the statements themselves, especially those related to the leadership badge, as it can be misinterpreted as Mo’s lack of respect towards his colleague Arnold.
He indicated the need to take into account the issue of the nationality of the newspaper with which Salah held this dialogue, since it belongs to Spain.
He reported that this could raise questions about whether Salah’s representatives are paving the way for his departure from England and his move to the Spanish League next year.
The newspaper considered that Salah’s lack of participation in today’s game against Crystal Palace can be considered a form of punishment for his statements.
Salah was a substitute in that match in the 57th minute, where he scored two goals and scored a goal in a match that ended with Liverpool winning seven unanswered goals.
