On Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 200 recovered from the coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 105,919 cases have recovered from the virus to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 548 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and an examination that the ministry carries out according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 25 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Thursday is 123,701 cases, including 105,919 cured cases and 7,015 deaths.
