Sayed Abdel Hafeez, football director of the Al-Ahly club, revealed that the Nigerian Junior Ajayi, the team’s player, had been removed from the list due to the injury he suffered recently.

Al-Ahly had announced that Ajay needed surgery on his foot after he injured his ankle and was absent for almost 3 months.

Abdel Hafeez said in remarks on MBC Egypt, “God willing, Ajay’s absence will not last for the team. He will undergo a full medical examination and the reports will be given to doctors in Germany and Spain.”

He continued, “We will certainly do what is good for Ajay. He may miss two months of the stadiums.”

He added: “Based on the announced period, there is no reason to remove Ajay’s name from the list, and these technical matters have special accounts, and I don’t know who said his name will be removed from the list.”

And he continued: “What I know at the moment is that there is no restriction or transfer period, in that period we have important games in the League and Africa, there should be no vibration or dispersion.”

He continued by commenting on the existence of negotiations with Walter Bwalia, Lapa Codja or Sereno, “When the time for transfers comes, we will sit down with the coaching staff and determine the needs of the team.”
