Kuwait agrees to operate flights back to Egypt directly

Kuwait Civil Aviation General Administration spokesman Saad Al-Otaibi said Saturday that the Kuwait civil aviation authorities informed EgyptAir, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways that they would allow airlines wishing to resume flights from Kuwait to Egypt. resume their activities, after a long period of interruption of direct flights between the two countries.

Al-Otaibi confirmed to Reuters that “this step is to facilitate the travel procedures of the Egyptian community that wishes to leave Kuwait for their country by direct flight.”

He said that travel procedures “will be conditioned on compliance with special health requirements to deal with the spread of Covid-19.”

He did not specify a specific date for the start of these flights.

The Kuwaiti media informed responsible sources that the General Administration of Civil Aviation sent a letter to EgyptAir in which it indicated that Kuwait has no objection to starting direct flights to Egypt, as a first step to start operating in the two destinations. back and forth after preparing health requirements and procedures for controls.
