Al-Shorouq Agency: Implementation of a typical 2000 meter walkway as an exit for the residents of the city

Eng. Alaa Abdel Aziz, Deputy Vice President of the Authority of New Urban Communities for the Development and Development of Cities, conducted an inspection tour of the projects in the city of Shorouk, accompanied by Eng. Officials from the Ministry of Housing began their tour by inspecting the works of the “model walkway” located in the western axis of the city, which includes the cultivation and beautification of the island of the western axis. They also inspected the city’s road facilities and projects, which include increasing the efficiency and rehabilitation of the main drainage station and the implementation of a “north axis” parallel to the electric train route.

The deputy vice president praised the progress of the work plan, highlighting the commitment to the approved schedules for carrying out the projects on the dates indicated.

For his part, Ing. Abdul Raouf Al-Ghiti explained that the project to increase the efficiency of the Isla Eje Occidental includes the implementation of a “model walkway” that is an exit for the residents of the city, with a length of ( 2000 m) and a width of (25 m), in addition to areas of pergolas that completely cover the walkway, indicating that the raw materials used in the implementation of reinforced concrete pergolas, which achieve sustainability instead of traditional materials that need to be continuously raised efficiency, whether made of wood or iron, in addition to reducing the level of agriculture from the road to absorb rainwater within the green areas, and the model walkway is a new addition to the recreational projects implemented by the authority of the city. The head of the Shorouk City Authority confirmed that work is being pushed forward at a great pace on various road and utility projects, in addition to increasing the efficiency of the main drainage pump station No. (3), and near completion and operation, to absorb rainwater and torrents.

Al-Ghiti indicated that the project work site (North Axis) has been delivered, parallel to the electric train underway, and it is emphasized that the executing company promote and intensify the work, given what will be achieved in terms of a future transit facility that will facilitate transportation from Ismailia entrance No. (1) to entrance No. (2). ).
