Images of Al-Ahly crowning the Super Cup after beating Zamalek
Ali Maaloul, the Al-Ahly player, revealed the secret of his celebration and the details of his fight with his compatriot Hamdi Al-Naqaz.
“My celebration is basically a clip of Dalia’s song for Soolking,” Maaloul said on CBC. “My son saw it and liked it and made a tradition.”
He stressed: “This is cause for celebration in this way, and I do not intend to intimidate anyone.”
And he turned to talk about his fight with compatriot Hamdi Al-Naqaz in the Egypt Super match.

Maaloul was asked about Chawali’s suspension in the Al-Ahly and Najm Al-Sahel match in which Maaloul starred, prompting the Tunisian commentator to say that he was “cruel to his compatriots.”
Maaloul replied: “It is natural for Chawali to say this because he is Tunisian and would like a Tunisian team to qualify.”
He continued: “But such comments sadden me, because I have not been cruel to my country. I play in Al-Ahly and this is a job, what should I do?”
He continued: “Taking on the Tunisian teams is my part. I respect them all and I apologize, but this is my job.”
He also commented on Zamalek’s performance in the final of the CAF Champions League: “Zamalek presented a great and respectable tournament and were excellent in the final, but this is football, and God willing, they will be present at the next years”.
Maaloul revealed a situation on the road that happened to him in his first term in Egypt after his transfer to Al-Ahly.
Maaloul said, “I went out with my wife and went to a mall. I was recently moving to Al-Ahly and I haven’t played yet, so I thought no one would know me.”
He continued: “Amr Gamal got me up and said: Blush, so I told him that I’m not like him and nobody knows me, then he told me that he would wait for me 10 minutes and that he would leave the mall again.”
He continued: “When I entered the mall, no one looked at me, so I said, praise God, then a boy came up to me and said: What is it?
He finished: “I called Amr Gamal again and told him to wait for him to come.”
