Dr. Nevin Jama, Minister of Industry and Commerce, revealed the details of the project to convert cars to run on natural gas, highlighting that it is a national project that enjoys the interest of President Sisi.

The minister said during an interview with journalist Ahmed Moussa in a program under my responsibility, that the project depends on replacing cars with others to work with natural gas, and before working on the project the availability of the infrastructure and the presence of the stations to meet the demands of the national program.

The minister added that the replacement process targets 250,000 cars, starting with 70,000, of which 55,000 are for rental and owners and 15,000 minibuses.The car will have been manufactured for 20 years, and noted that the replacement economic and intelligent for the citizen.

He added that the first phase will be the local assembly cars, and the second phase will be agreed with international companies to work on the project, and there is a very attractive incentive for replacement programs and financing reduced to less than 5% and a possible term of payment of up to ten years for the citizen who wishes to replace. Dr. Nevin Jameh explained that the database is constantly updated, and there are a million angel cars that have been counted to enter the replacement process, and multiple car options of up to 8 types are available. The details will be announced during an exhibition in January in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. Car models and offers from oil companies will be displayed. .

Regarding the details of the presentation and prices, the minister emphasized that the fee starts from 1500 pounds, and the advance will be made with the incentive that the citizen will receive, and the cars that enter the replacement will be scrapped, and the receipt procedures will not will exceed 10 days.
