The Meteorological Authority revealed details of the meteorological phenomena and places of rainfall expected during the period from Friday to next Wednesday.
The locations are as follows:
Friday December 11
Light to moderate rains (30%) in some areas of the western coasts.
Source of water in some areas of the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, Central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
Saturday 12 of December
Light to moderate rains (40%), in some areas of the western coasts (Alexandria – Matrouh – Sallum).
Source of water in some areas of Lower Egypt, Cairo, Central Sinai and North of Upper Egypt.
Agitated wind and sand activity: in some areas of the west of the country (Sallum – Sidi Barani – Siwa).
Sunday December 13
Light to moderate rainfall at the rate of (50%) in some areas of the northwest coast (Alexandria – Matrouh – Dabaa – Salloum).
Agitated wind and sand activity: in some areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern coasts, canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt
Monday December 14
Medium to heavy rains in some areas of the northwest coast (Alexandria – Matrouh – Dabaa – Salloum – Rashid – Baltim).
Light to moderate rain in some areas of the northeast coast (Damietta – Port Said – Arish – Rafah).
Light to moderate rainfall in some areas of Lower Egypt (Kafr El Sheikh – Beheira – Dakahlia – Gharbia – Sharkia – Menoufia).
Wind and sand activity increased in some areas of Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt.
Tuesday December 15
Moderate to heavy rains in some areas of the northern coasts (Alexandria – Matrouh – Dabaa – Salloum – Rashid – Baltim – Damietta – Port Said – Al Arish – Rafah).
Moderate rain in some areas of Lower Egypt (Kafr El Sheikh – Beheira – Dakahlia – Al Gharbia – Sharkia – Menoufia).
Wednesday December 16
Moderate to heavy rains in some areas of the eastern coasts (Damietta – Port Said – Al Arish – Rafah).
Moderate rain in some areas of the western coasts (Alexandria – Dabaa – Matrouh – Salloum – Rashid – Baltim).
Light rains in some areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the canal cities.
The meteorological statement concluded by highlighting the need to take all necessary preparations and measures to reduce the effects of the rain.
