Despite securing qualification for the Champions League round of 16 and a packed schedule of matches, Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp made it clear that he would travel with all members of his team to Denmark to face Maitland.

Mohamed Salah’s teammates will travel to Denmark for their sixth and final match in Group D on Wednesday, after confirming their qualification to the round of 16 and securing first place.

“We suffered no further injuries after the last game, so it is clear that there is the possibility of a larger roster,” Klopp told his club’s website.

“We will be traveling with a full team, which is really cool,” he added. “Nobody came back from injury, but he’s still good.”

And on the possibility of several young players participating against Maitland, Klopp said: “We will see … this is not excluded, but has not yet been determined.”

He added: “The task is to push the players with more energy. I did not decide that for any reason other than the busy schedule.”

“This match will be played on Wednesday, three days after our last match,” added the German coach.

“The next game will be on Sunday against Fulham, then on Wednesday we will face Tottenham and on Saturday at Crystal Palace. This means that we will play 4 games in 10 days, so we have to think about the training options before each game.”
