Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education issued a circular on reducing the number of employees in the Ministry’s office and its affiliated bodies, as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the new Corona virus.
In its letter, the Ministry affirmed the restitution of the exceptional leave in the ministry and its affiliated organs, provided that the employees of the general office of the Ministry and its affiliated organs would rotate to attend work 3 days a week, and that the three days are specified and fulfilled and cannot be changed except in favor of the work.
The Ministry stated that in case of absent from the days of attendance under this exceptional leave, it is considered continuous leave for the entire period, granting the employee who returns from abroad an exceptional leave for a period of 15 days from the date of his Return.
The Ministry stressed that the employee who is confirmed to be infected by the Coronavirus, or who is in contact, or suspected of being infected, by bringing the documents that indicate it, is granted an exceptional license, not less than 14 days, which it is extended without a maximum until recovery is verified.
He indicated that it is allowed for the heads of agencies, bodies and sectors, heads of central departments and general managers to convene employees according to work needs throughout the week, or assign them to work from home.
The ministry noted that such exceptional paid leave should require workers and employees of the ministry and its affiliated bodies to take all preventive measures and wear protective masks from the start of the job to the end.
And he highlighted the need to punish those who violate preventive measures, while urging occupational health and safety professionals to take the necessary health precautions and precautions.
