Monza has announced the signing of former Italian international striker Mario Balotelli for free.

Balotelli signed a contract with the team that competes in the Italian second division, linking him to him until the end of this season.

Balotelli will wear his favorite number 45 at the club owned by Silvio Berlusconi and managed by Adriano Galliani.

Berlusconi previously signed with Balotelli from Manchester City years ago, but to join Milan at the time.

The 30-year-old Balotelli was his last stop in Brescia last season, but he only scored 5 goals in 19 games, and has not played an official match since March.

Balotelli has already passed through many stations, among which stands out: Inter Milan, Manchester City, Milan, Liverpool, Nice and Olympique de Marseille.

Balotelli has 36 international appearances for the Italian national team, in which he scored 14 goals, and was a member of the generation that occupied Euro 2012.

Monza was promoted to the Second Division League this season and aims to join the Premier League for the first time in its history.

The team includes a group of well-known players, including Kevin Prince Boateng of Ghana and Gabriel Paletta of Argentine origin.

Monza ranks ninth in the Second Division League with 14 points, having suffered only two defeats in 10 games.
