Meteorology announces meteorological phenomena and places of rainfall expected until next Saturday

The Meteorological Authority revealed the meteorological phenomena and places of expected precipitation during the period from Monday to next Sunday, December 13, 2020:

On Monday, December 7, 2020:

Light rain: in some areas of Greater Cairo, the canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt.

Light to moderate rainfall at the rate of (30%): in some areas of (Alexandria – Rashid – Baltim – Damietta – Port Said – Kafr El Sheikh – Beheira – Dakahlia – Gharbia – Sharkia – Menoufia).

Agitated wind and sand activity: in some areas of Greater Cairo, canal cities and northern Upper Egypt (Fayoum – Beni Suef – Minya)

Moderate winds, sometimes causing dust: in some areas of the northern coasts and Lower Egypt.

On Tuesday, December 8, 2020:

Light to moderate rainfall at the rate of (30%): in some areas of (Alexandria – Matrouh – Rasheed – Baltim – Damietta – Port Said – Arish – Rafah).

Light rains at the rate of (30%): in some areas of Lower Egypt and Northern Upper Egypt (Kafr El Sheikh – Beheira – Dakahlia – Beni Suef – Fayoum – Minya).

Water jet: water jet in some areas of the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

On Wednesday, December 9, 2020:

Light rain at a rate of (30%): in some areas of (Damietta – Port Said – Arish – Rafah).

Water source: in some areas of the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

Thursday, December 10, 2020:

Light to moderate rain (30%) in some areas of (Alexandria Matrouh – Salloum).

Water source: in some areas of the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

Agitated wind and sand activity: in some areas of the west of the country (Salloum – Sidi Barani – Siwa).

On Friday, December 11, 2020:

Light to moderate rain (30%) in some areas of (Alexandria Matrouh – Salloum).

Water source: in some areas of the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

On Saturday, December 12, 2020:

Light to moderate rains at a rate of (30%): in some areas of the northern coasts and the Lower Sea.

Water source: in some areas of Lower Egypt, Cairo, and Northern Upper Egypt.

Agitated wind and sand activity: in some areas of the west of the country (Sallum – Sidi Barani – Siwa).

On Sunday, December 13, 2020:

Light to moderate rains (30%) in some areas of the northern and lower coasts.

Source of water in some areas of Lower Egypt, Cairo and Northern Upper Egypt.

Agitated wind and sand activity: in some areas of the west and east of the country and north of Upper Egypt.

The meteorological release concluded that the forecasts are updated daily.

Commenting on the state of dust and sand uprising to which the country is exposed during different days next week, Dr. Iman Shaker, Deputy Secretary of the Remote Sensing Authority of the Meteorological Authority, told Al-Masry Al-Youm that activities of daily living can be practiced wearing the mask we wear in accordance with the Corona virus precautionary measures. In addition, it is protected from high sand and dust, which will not pose a serious danger to patients with allergies and respiratory system.
