Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp revealed what he felt when he saw his team’s fans present at the stadium after several months of interruption due to the spread of the Corona virus.

The fans returned to Anfield and Liverpool beat Wolverhampton 4-0 in front of 2,000 fans in the 11th round of Premier League matches.

“To be honest, it would have been possible to restore all of that without a great football match, but luckily we already had a football match,” Klopp said in remarks, especially on his club’s website.

“When we went out to warm up, we had no idea what to expect or what to expect. When we went out to the field, we all got goose bumps, it was incredible.”

“When people saw the first player, it got very noisy. The rest who were still inside thought this was very loud applause. Then you go out and see a simple group of people.”

He continued: “Frankly, it was very emotional, after about 10 months without fans. It’s just a great sign. It’s a bit like news from smart people who invented a vaccine for the Coronavirus.”

“We hope everything goes well, and we can build on that as a society, not just as a football community,” he emphasized.

“It was wonderful to hear the song again (You will never walk alone), if no one is injured, it is a perfect night,” added the German coach.

Mohamed Salah scored the first goal for Liverpool, before adding Jenny Vinaldome, and Joel Matip the second and third, and then a fourth goal against Nelson Semedo.

The victory lifted Liverpool’s balance to 24 points at the top of the standings, even with Tottenham.
