Kamal Darwish, former president of Zamalek, and now a member of the club’s Elders Committee, said there is great pressure on officials and everyone wants to make changes quickly, adding that they are not against certain people.
The committee that runs the Zamalek club, headed by Ahmed Bakri, appointed a committee called The Elders to seek their opinion on the management of the Red Castle after a decision was issued to suspend the Zamalek club’s board of directors.
During radio remarks for “Falcon Stadium”, Doric said: “The team currently includes distinguished players and some of the best teams in Africa.”
He added that “the strength of the team must be preserved, which is the most important thing at the current stage, in addition to the need to provide financial contributions.
He continued: “The tournaments do not end and continue, and the team has reached the Champions League final. We agreed to help the committee that runs the club, but the media are very violent and now there is a lot of pressure on the referees.”
He continued: “We seek to serve the entity, not against people. We belong to the Zamalek Club, and we have been members of the club for 50 years.”
He concluded: “The new committee includes a group of advisers, who took responsibility a short time ago, and there is a state of extreme urgency, and everyone wants to do and change some things quickly.”
