Journalist Osama Kamal filed a complaint with journalist Karam Gabr, head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, against the decision to prevent him from presenting his program on the channel “Al Mehwar” for a period of two weeks, based on a complaint filed against him by the Egyptian Telecommunications Company.

He concluded by saying: “That is why, in accordance with the text of Law 180 of 2018, I present this claim to you, hoping that it will be resolved in 48 hours, since your decision has damaged my media reputation that I have built over 38 years of honesty. .
The Supreme Media Council discussed the complaint filed by Telecom Egypt against the 90-minute program of the Al-Mehwar channel and the program’s host, Osama Kamal, and decided to approve the recommendations of the Complaints Committee regarding the irregularities that occurred in an episode on November 28, 2020, suspending the host of the 90-minute program and the channel’s fine for a period of two weeks. 100 thousand pounds.
