It was demonstrated to the Board during the complaint review procedures that the program provider is not restricted to the membership hours of the Media Union and has not obtained permission from the Union to participate in media activity.

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation had today examined the complaint filed by Telecom Egypt against the 90-minute program on the Al-Mehwar channel and the program’s host, Osama Kamal, and decided to approve the recommendations of the Complaints Committee regarding the irregularities that occurred. on the November 28, 2020 episode, and temporarily suspend the host of the 90-minute show. In two weeks, the canal will be fined 100,000 pounds.

The council discussed the follow-up report on the announcements of the so-called “Al-Oula Media Channel Network”, and decided to convene the legal representative of the satellite channel “Strike”, owned by the Al-Oula company, and discussed the legality of license procedures have expired, and the situation has not been renewed or reconciled in accordance with the law so far.
