Today, the Supreme Council for Media Regulation discussed the complaints against the program “Sabaya Al-Khair” presented on Al-Nahar TV in light of the episode about fox hunting, and the Council decided to suspend the program until the investigations are completed. with the presenter of the program and the legal representative of the An-Nahar channel.

The council discussed the monitoring report on the announcements of what is said to be the “Al-Oula Media Channel Network” and decided to convene the legal representative of the satellite channel “Strike”, owned by Al-Oula, and discussed the legality of the license procedures expired, and the conditions have not been renewed or reconciled in accordance with the law so far.

Samira al-Deghidi summoned her to ask about what was expressed in the follow-up report, especially since the Board of Directors has not yet ruled on the request for modification of the shareholding structure of the Al Oula company, and no request has been submitted to the Board to modify the name or logo of the channel “Strike” owned by First Media Company.

The council discussed the complaint filed by Telecom Egypt against the Al-Mehwar channel’s 90-minute program and the program’s host, Osama Kamal, and decided to approve the recommendation of the complaints committee regarding the irregularities that occurred in an episode on November 28, 2020, suspending the host from the 90-minute show for a period of two weeks and a 100,000-pound fine.
