The Youth Welfare Investigations succeeded in arresting a human organ trafficking gang formation in Giza, and found that the defendants took advantage of the victims’ financial crisis to sell their organs in exchange for money.
Information and investigations from the General Directorate for Youth Welfare Research of the Social Security Sector confirmed the formation of 4 people (unemployed and two women “with criminal information”) who form a specialized gang in the field of human organ trafficking. ) Recruiting the victims in exchange for money and paying a sum of money to the victim, after they took the formal measures to benefit from their donation.
It was possible to identify 8 cases of the victims and through the call (two people, one of whom had criminal information) attended and agreed, through the members of the aforementioned formation, to sell (both) in exchange for money after to undergo medical examinations and document the papers indicating their donation.
After codifying the procedures and in coordination with the public security sector, 3 of the defendants were arrested and spoke with them, they recognized the formation of a gang formation among them specialized in attracting victims, and urging them to sell their organs humans (kidneys) in exchange for money, after they took formal measures that benefit their donation.
Legal measures have been taken and the Public Ministry is underway to handle the investigations.
This emerged as a continuation of the Interior Ministry’s efforts to combat crime in all its forms, especially criminal phenomena related to the exploitation and corruption of facts and human trafficking.
