Egypt prepares to host a new event on the African continent, between the first football team of the Al-Ahly club, and its counterpart, Nahdet Berkane of Morocco, in the final of the Super African, on December 10, as was planned so far.
The party is in crisis right now, due to the timing and location of the African Super Match between Al-Ahly and the Moroccan renaissance Berkane, which won the African Confederation Cup at the expense of the Pyramids.
Ketabi Al-Hussein, the official spokesman for the Moroccan club Nahdet Berkane, said in televised statements on the Al-Allaib program broadcast by MBC Egypt that until now, the African Football Confederation (CAF) has not informed them of the date of the Super African Party.
He noted that CAF is committed to a contract with the Qatar Football Association, which provides for the establishment of the Egyptian Super Cup in Doha for three consecutive seasons.
He revealed that this contract is the main reason for Nahdet Berkane’s adhesion to the celebration of the match in Qatar, especially since Zamalek played the African Super Cup last season with Esperance Tunisia in Doha.
