South African coach Pitso Mosimane, coach of Al-Ahly, released the list of the team that is preparing to play the Tale’aa Al-Jaish match scheduled for next Saturday in the final of the Egyptian Cup competition, the version of the season (2019-2020).
The list witnessed the presence of Mohamed Sharif after the player announced the negative smear he underwent after being infected with the new Corona virus (Covid 19), instead, Walid Suleiman and Ali Diang were absent due to their continuous infection with the virus.
Al-Ahly’s roster, consisting of 22 players, was as follows:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shennawy – Ali Lotfi – Mustafa Schubert.
Defense line: Badr Bannon – Rami Rabiaa – Yasser Ibrahim – Ali Maaloul – Mahmoud Wahid – Muhammad Hani – Ayman Ashraf.
Midfield: Hamdi Fathy – Mohamed Sharif – Amr Al-Soulia – Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” – Akram Tawfiq – Taher Mohamed Taher – Geraldo – Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” – Hussein Al-Shahat – Nasser Maher.
Offensive line: Marwan Mohsen – Saleh Mohsen.
Al-Ahly reached the final after beating Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, with two goals to one, in a match that was played last Tuesday night at the “Army” stadium in Suez.
It is considered the last victory of Al-Ahly in the Egyptian Cup championship, after beating Al-Masry Al-Borsaidi (2-1) in the version (2017).
On the other hand, Al-Jaysh qualified for the first time in his career after beating Zamalek (3-1).
Zamalek is considered the last team to win the Egyptian Cup after beating the Pyramids team (3-0) last season.
