Al-Ahly’s coaching staff, led by Pitso Mosimane, placed 28 players on the home team’s roster for the new season.
FilGoal.com learned that Al-Ahly chose the names of the players on the team roster for the new season, which it sent to the Egyptian Football Association and the Confederation.
Al-Ahly removed the names of Ahmed El Sheikh, Saleh Jumaa and Aliu Badji from its list, and announced it earlier.
While Al-Ahly scored 29 players on the local and African national team roster, FilGoal.com reveals:
Goalie: Muhammad Al-Shenawi – Ali Lotfi – Mustafa Schubert
Defense line: Muhammad Hani – Yasser Ibrahim – Rami Rabia – Saad Samir – Ayman Ashraf – Badr Bannon – Ahmed Ramadan Beckham – Ali Maaloul – Mahmoud Waheed.
Middle line: Aliou Diang – Amr Al-Soulia – Hamdi Fathy – Akram Tawfiq – Nasser Maher – Muhammad Magdi Afsha – Taher Muhammad Taher – Hussein Al-Shahat – Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” – Geraldo – Walid Suleiman _ Muhammad Sharif – Karim Walid “Nedved”
Offensive line: Marwan Mohsen – Junior Ajay – Salah Mohsen – Ahmed Yasser Rayan.
Goalkeeper Mustafa Schubert is considered a minor player because he is still in the club’s youth team.
The Al-Ahly club raised the names of Mahmoud Metwally and Mohamed Mahmoud due to lack of medical preparation, provided their registration is done when the registration door opens in February.
This brings the number of registered players on Al-Ahly’s local roster to 28, and in Africa to 29 players, because Mustafa Schubert is a minor on the local roster.
Registrations will close in Egypt on December 6.
