The president of the United States, Donald Trump, wished a “speedy recovery” for the president-elect, Joe Biden, after the latter was suspected of suffering a slight fracture.

Trump attached his tweet to a video clip showing Biden leaving the orthopedist’s office, where he underwent a series of precautionary checks, according to his office.

Biden injured his foot on Saturday when he slipped during his fun with his dog, and his office announced that his ankle had been sprained, awaiting further diagnosis.

Kevin O’Connor, the president-elect’s private physician, revealed details of Biden’s health after he sprained his ankle while playing with his dog, but did not sustain a fracture.

“An initial X-ray confirms that there is no apparent fracture,” O’Connor said, adding that Biden would undergo another more detailed examination.

Biden’s office said in a statement that the accident occurred on Saturday and that the president-elect visited an orthopedic doctor Sunday for X-rays and CT scans.
