Today Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 106 people recovering from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of who have recovered from the virus to 102,596 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 358 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and an examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 15 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today Sunday is 115,541 cases, of which 102,596 cases have been cured and 6,636 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a series of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases. , Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health” available on phones.
