Mazen Marzouq, head of the Competitions Committee, announced the modification of the list of fines for the new season, regarding the date of payment.

The new 2020-2021 Egyptian Premier League season begins on December 11.

Mazen Marzouq said in a press release on the sidelines of the committee meeting with the league’s clubs: “The list of fines has been modified in the new season. Any player who has been fined will only have two weeks to pay, and if not paid, the fine will be doubled and the player will be suspended until payment. “

He added: “If the player was arrested in the first place, then the period of suspension will be his time limit for payment, and if he does not pay, the penalty will double as the suspension continues.”

He continued: “The same applies to the technical team, as the penalty will double in 4 weeks with suspension.”

And he continued: “If the fine is economic, the club will have a period of two weeks, then a double fine, then two weeks later again, and if it is not paid within four weeks, a point will be deducted for each game that he plays and has not paid the fine. “

And he continued: “If the season ends without paying, you will be banned from registering matches entirely until the fine is paid.”

He revealed: “The clubs rejected this list at first, but it was stressed that these sanctions will be applied in an official letter to all clubs.”

And he continued: “It is unacceptable to announce sanctions without establishing provisions for their implementation, and the Union will not retract its decisions.”

“It was rejected to allow clubs to open the numbers on the players’ shirts, and the highest number allowed is 30,” he said.
