Trump repeated his allegations of fraud during the elections
US President Donald Trump has said he will leave the White House if the electoral college declares that his Democratic challenger, Joe Biden, wins.
These statements are the closest recognition by Trump of losing the elections that were held on November 3.
However, the president of the United States repeated his unfounded accusations about the occurrence of “fraud” during the voting process.
The electoral college is scheduled to meet on December 14 to confirm the winner of the presidential race.
Speaking to reporters on the Thanksgiving holiday, Trump said that if the electoral college confirmed Biden’s victory, he would leave the White House.
But Trump said it was difficult for him to admit his loss to Biden under the current circumstances, and he declined to reveal whether he would be attending Biden’s inauguration.
Trump insisted that “these elections witnessed fraud,” while he did not present any concrete evidence of such voting irregularities.
The president-elect is expected to be sworn in on January 20.
A few days ago, Trump agreed to initiate the formal transfer of power. Biden is currently able to communicate with senior government officials and obtain millions of dollars in public funds during the transition period.
