A security source confirmed that what was circulated about the kidnapping of a footballer at one of the Premier League clubs from inside a hotel is completely unfounded.

The source explained that after questioning, it became clear that two people had doubted the player at the hotel, and that he had willingly left the hotel with them.

Moataz Al-Battawi, general supervisor of the Ceramica team, confirmed that Mido Jaber, the team’s player, had disappeared from the team’s camp.

“Mido Jaber is not in the match hotel, and that surprised us after we entered the locker room,” Al-Batawi said during a speech on the match program hosted by Hani Hathout on the Echo Al-Balad channel.

He continued: “Mido Jaber came out to activate his room card, and there were two people at the reception who asked to film with him, and then he disappeared at eight at night and did not appear until now.”

He concluded: “We requested that the cameras be removed from the hotel residence and we have presented a report. His disappearance arouses our surprise.”
