Officials and doctors have warned of the second wave of the Coronavirus in Egypt, which began a few days ago with the increase in the number of daily cases recorded by the Ministry of Health in its daily statement.

Dr Muhammad Awad Taj al-Din, adviser to the president for health affairs, said there is a “fierce new strain that has characteristics that were not present in any previous strain, including its ability to rapidly infect.”
Taj al-Din explained in television statements, that the infected person can transmit the infection to 3 or 4 or more due to the new strain, while in the previous strains, he transmitted the infection to one person.
He noted that “the incubation period has been lengthened and a person can remain symptom-free for 14 days and cause infection in a large group.”
This was indicated by Dr. Amjad Al-Haddad, head of the Department of Allergy and Immunology, with the vaccine and the vaccine, explaining that the virus has a greater ability to spread than the first wave, along with an increase in the speed of spread, which has led to an increase in infections recently.
On the severity of the symptoms of the recent virus infection, Al-Haddad told Masrawy that what determines the strength or weakness of the virus and its strains is the number of deaths recorded daily, and we currently note that the number deaths is limited compared to the figures recorded by the Ministry of Health in the first wave.
He added: “We understood the protocol and started to treat it better, and this reduced complications as a result of early use of the treatment protocol.”
He continued: “In the first wave we were not that strong, and we took the experience in the first stage and we did not expect the situation to deteriorate, and we worked early before the situation got into complications, and this contributed to reducing mortality rates. and the need for intensive care. “
The total number that was recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus, as of Tuesday, was 113,742 cases, including 102,103 cases that were cured and 6,573 deaths.
