Hamada Anwar, a member of the Zamalek board of directors, confirmed that the entire board will go to the Cairo Stadium next Friday to attend the African Champions League final against Al-Ahly.

“The entire board of directors will definitely attend the final match of the Champions League,” Anwar said in a telephone statement to the “Al-Allaib” program on MBC Egypt on Tuesday night.

He added: “Advisor Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek Club, if he wanted to be in the African final, he would be present, this matter would return to his wish.

And on the extent of Zamalek’s concern about the Corona swab that the team will be holding on Wednesday morning, Anwar replied: “Any player you lose, be it Zamalek or Al-Ahly, they will be influential, that’s normal.”

He indicated that Mohamed Abdel-Ghani and Mohamed Abdel Salam, Zamalek’s defense duo, will compensate Mahmoud Hamdi Al-Wensh if his absence from the Al-Ahly confrontation is confirmed due to his contagion with Corona.

Hamada Anwar noted that the swab performed by Moroccan duo Ashraf Bencharki and Tunisian Ferjani Sassi had a negative result, adding that they participated in Zamalek’s training naturally.

“There is no concern about the match, we are talking about a story. It is an honor for any player to participate in this exceptional match, and winning the title will be followed by participation in the Club World Cup,” he concluded.
