The Lebanese media revealed that the first investigating judge in Mount Lebanon, Nicolas Mansour, issued his indictment against the husband of Nancy Ajram, who was convicted of the crime of murder.

The reports indicated that the investigating judge sentenced Dr. Fadi Al-Hashem for the crime of homicide, according to article 547 of article 228 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of between 15 and 20 years, and “the file was sent to the Criminal Court “.

Article 547 establishes that: “Whoever intentionally kills a person will be punished with forced labor for fifteen to twenty years, the penalty will be twenty to twenty-five years if the act of murder is committed by one of the spouses against the other.

Gabi Gormanus, a lawyer for Fadi Al-Hashem, explained the court’s decision: “They expected a conditional self-defense sentence, but it came with a 20-year sentence for a second article prohibiting punishment, and legally the two sentences lead to the same result, that it is not a punishment. The decision is consistent with what Fadi said in the investigations. ”

Notably, the first investigating judge on Mount Lebanon, Nicolas Mansour, previously heard the artist’s husband, Nancy Ajram, accused in the murder of the young Syrian, Muhammad al-Musa, while the lawyer for the deceased’s family said that Al-Hashem and Al-Musa had made several contacts with each other prior to the incident.
