Antar: I did not underestimate the Zamalek fans

Mohamed Antar, the newcomer to the Al-Masry Al-Borseidi team, affirmed that he did not intend to belittle the Zamalek fans, after the statements he made during his presentation to the media after moving to the coastal team.

Antar said in a statement on the “Zamalek” program late on Friday: “I know the Zamalek fans, and I won six tournaments with the team. Zamalek is my home and I did not cut myself short with the team.”

Regarding his statements made during the Al-Masry club press conference, he explained: “My statements are not intended to disparage the Zamalek club. I know the Zamalek fans very well, especially after the Confederation final last season.” .

He continued: “Zamalek is considered my home, but I don’t know for the sake of the abuse of me and my family, because I didn’t cut corners with Zamalek and everyone knows that well.”

And Mohamed Antar had officially moved into the ranks of Al-Masry Al-Borsaidi from Zamalek’s team during the current summer’s transfers, as Antar signed a contract linking him to Al-Masry until 2023.

Notably, Antar, 27, made 33 appearances for Zamalek, scoring three goals and scoring five crucial goals.
