Lebanese Abdou Yaghi was able to win the “Most Beautiful Voice” award in the first season of “The Voice Senior”, presented by the Saudi television network MBC.

Over the course of eight weeks, Arab stars over 60 and one of them turned 80 competed in front of a jury made up of artists: Samira Said from Morocco, Egyptian Hani Shaker, Najwa Karam and Melhem Zein from Lebanon. The participants presented songs by Al-Tarab Al-Aseel, Al-Qudood Al-Halabi and some popular Tawasheh.

The last episode, which was shown last night, Wednesday, reached four competitors: the Egyptian Mervat Kamel, the Moroccan Souad Hassan, and the Lebanese Abdo Yaghi and Faisal Hallaq.

And 16 participants had participated in the contest. Each member of the jury had to select two talents from the four golden votes that had moved with him to this stage.

In conclusion, Abdo Yaghi of the Melhem Zein team received the highest marks, and actress Samir Saida considered that her voice “brought us back to the beautiful fragrance of time”.

The Moroccan singer called the experience wonderful, saying: “The show was not the spirit of competition, rather there is a spirit of fun, passion and love, and we all enjoyed the performance.”

As for artist Najwa Karam, she said that the most important thing that distinguished this experience was the contestants’ insistence on artistic presence, hope and joy.

Hani Shaker called the show “a party for the coaches and the trainees together, for us and for them, and we feel that as long as there is tomorrow there is hope, you taught us a lot on The Voice Senior.”

In turn, the artist Melhem Zein considered that the entire program spread a message of joy to the Arab world and stressed that art has no age.

Yaghi had caused a great controversy in Lebanon and the Arab world for having participated in a program considered amateur, and underwent training in front of the artist Melhem Zein, who was younger than him.

Yaghi has had many artistic experiences since he participated in the “Art Studio” in 1972, and participated in the plays of the brothers Rahbani and Romeo Lahoud. Among his most outstanding songs are “Ya Bou Al-Sawad”, “Laila Ya Laila, O girl of the People” and “Wahdi I and the Cup” and “Yo quiero. Yo quiero” and others.
