Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 133 patients recovering from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization. This brings the total of those who recover from the virus to 101,421 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 329 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 14 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today Wednesday is 111,613 cases, including 101,421 cured cases and 6,495 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to make preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against viruses or infectious diseases, and the Ministry has assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases.
