The British newspaper “Mirror” said that the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool player, will not participate in the Reds’ game against Atalanta in the Champions League, adding that he will not be able to join his team’s match against Brighton in the Premier English League.

Salah became infected with the Coronavirus while at the Egyptian team’s camp participating in the African qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations, and missed the Pharaohs’ clashes with Togo in the third and fourth rounds.

The Egyptian player performed a new swab on Wednesday and the sample was positive for the second time.

For its part, “Mirror” said that the doubts that hung about the possibility of Salah participating against Atalanta (November 25) in the fourth day of the group stage of the European Champions League are confirmed, since the Medical protocol in the UK stipulates that the player must be placed in isolation for a period of no less than 10 days.

And the British newspaper added that “Mo” may also miss Brighton (November 28) in the tenth round of the Premier League championship.

And some reports had indicated the possibility of Salah returning to England on Thursday if the swab result was negative.

It’s worth noting that Salah will miss Liverpool’s next game against Leicester City, scheduled for November 22 in the ninth round of the Premier League.
