A state of indignation prevailed among the citizens of the Dakahlia Governorate, after the streets were flooded with rainwater, as a result of the wave of bad weather that hit the province, turning many areas into swimming pools, as well as the obstruction of storm drains and sewer stations stopped absorbing water.
In the context, Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, governor of Dakahlia, accompanied by Haitham al-Sheikh, the deputy governor, took to the streets to follow up on the work of lifting and cleaning the rainwater accumulations, in the presence of Muhammad Abdul -Baqi, head of the West Mansoura neighborhood, and Muhammad al-Bassiouni, head of East Mansoura.
And the equipment of the municipalities was scattered through the streets to lift the accumulations of rainwater, which fell abundantly in several cities, and was moderate in other cities and towns.
The governor of Dakahlia highlighted the continuation of raising the level of maximum preparedness and emergencies in the government agencies, to face the rains and climate changes, and to take all the precautions and precautions.
Mukhtar highlighted the continuation of efforts to lift accumulations and remnants of rain in all cities and villages of the governorate in case they fall, and continue with the maintenance of drainage networks and sumps, rain, sewage and electricity, and review the security of gas lines with the holding of the central operating room in the general office of the governorate and the branch in the centers and cities 24 hours for serious monitoring, in order to ensure serious monitoring. Citizen security.
The governor of Dakahlia assigned to the heads of neighborhoods, centers and cities, their deputies and village heads the supervision of the teams working on the removal of accumulations, highlighting the presence of electricity maintenance teams and the availability of all equipment in local units, as well as cleaning equipment and devices in question, to be present on the streets 24 hours a day and immediately attend to any rain that falls in a timely manner. .
The governor of Dakahlia also highlighted the sectors of electricity, drinking water, sewerage, gas, irrigation, mechanics, electricity and civil protection, for their presence side by side with those responsible for centers and cities.
In the context, the heads of local units of neighborhoods, centers and cities continued the work of lifting the accumulated water in low places and continuing to raise the levels of preparedness in the range of centers and cities, to face climatic changes and the fall of rain, with the participation of the deputy directors of centers and cities, heads of neighborhoods and villages and their deputies and heads of cleaning departments in all the streets of cities and towns, to raise the level of services and communication with citizens, to follow up 24 hours a day, in addition to continuous communication with the government’s main operations room through branches in the centers, cities and neighborhoods to immediately attend to all emergency events.
