Books – Ahmed Sharif:

Hossam El-Badry, the coach of the first Egyptian national team, confirmed that he had faced various difficulties in the last period related to the disposition of some players or the fatigue of others.

Al-Badri said in remarks on BBC Sports after the Togo meeting that he had received a message from Mohamed Salah, the wing of the Egyptian team, just before the clash.

Al-Badri said: “We faced a lot of difficulties in the last period. We had a lot of changes in various things, including the team structure.”

He continued: “Some were surprised by the presence of more than 30 players in the camp, but I always expected the existence of a problem or injury to a player.”

And he added: “Not all players have the same preparation. There are those who are exhausted by the large number of games, and there are those who do not have the sensitivity of the meetings because they have not played games for a long time.”

He explained: “I thank the players for the great effort and pressure they were subjected to. They were determined to win and we had many scoring opportunities in the first half in particular.”

He concluded: “I dedicate this victory to the fans and also to Mohamed Salah, especially since he sent us a message today confirming that we will win.”

It should be noted that the Egyptian team achieved a victory over Togo, with a clean goal, tonight, Saturday, in the framework of the matches of the third round of the qualifying rounds of African nations.
