The ‘broom’ rains flood the streets of western Alexandria (photos)

The wave of bad weather continued to hit the shores of Alexandria, this Saturday morning, coinciding with the core of the broom, accompanied by heavy rains, northwest winds and a notable drop in temperatures.

The torrential rain caused the flooding of the streets of western Alexandria, especially the areas of the “Business Triangle, Wadi Al-Qamar Road, Al-Amiriya Road” and Umm Zaghio Road.

The sewerage company, in coordination with the neighborhoods, the drinking water companies and Nahdet Misr, paid for around 180 cars to clean rainwater accumulations from the streets, tunnels and highways.

Meanwhile, all the executive bodies of the governor of Alexandria announced raising the level of maximum preparedness and emergencies, and suspending studies in schools, today, due to unstable weather conditions. While maritime navigation and fishing activities have been regular and have not yet stopped.
