Matt McCann, Liverpool’s official spokesman, commented on the news that Egyptian star and “Reds” player Mohamed Salah had been infected with the new Corona virus (Covid 19).
“The club will not comment on anything at this time,” Liverpool’s official spokesman said in remarks via “Yallakora” on Friday night.
The presence of Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, with the Egyptian team recently, in preparation for the Togo matches, which are scheduled for tomorrow Saturday and then Tuesday, in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifying rounds for the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
On Friday evening, the Egyptian Federation announced, in an official statement posted on the official Facebook page, that Mohamed Salah was infected with the Corona virus, before the statement was removed, and teams from Egypt and Togo announced three cases. (See details)
Liverpool have not issued any official reaction so far on the team’s star, Mohamed Salah, as the English Premier League champions have suffered from the infection of several of their players with the virus since the start of this season, including which include Thiago Alcantara, Sadio Mane and Internet Alexander-Arnold.
Notably, Salah is Liverpool’s top scorer this season after scoring 8 goals in the first 8 matches of the Premier League competition, as Mo’s last goal was to score against Manchester City in a match that was played last year. Sunday at Al Ittihad Stadium.
