President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Friday afternoon inspected projects to develop axes and bridges in the governorates of Cairo and Giza.
Ambassador Bassam Radi, spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the president on Friday inspected the progress of the executive works of the comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation and development of the area of the Great Egyptian Museum in the Governorate of Giza, and the achievement of the link with the Plateau de las Pirámides, as well as the expansion of the Oasis Highway and the development of its intersections with other important axes. Road Al-Farag, which passes through the Tahya Misr Corridor, which connects Western Cairo with the East, and the President was also briefed on the development work of the new Al-Matariya Corridor, which begins at Ibn Al-Hakam Square, to unite the East Cairo neighborhoods with the rest of the Greater Cairo governorates.
How much the president also inspected the Martyr axis in the east of the capital and Mohamed Zaki Square, as well as the roads and bridges in the Nasr City and Heliopolis areas.
The President stopped to talk with officials and workers at those sites to follow up on the executive position of the progress of the construction works, highlighting the veracity of compliance with the schedules for the completion of those projects designed to develop transit routes that serve as new arteries to facilitate movement and circulation between Cairo and other governorates and within the neighborhoods of Cairo itself.
He also highlighted the commitment to preventive measures against the Coronavirus, especially with the onset of winter and the beginning of the second wave of spread of the virus.
