Tunisian star Youssef Al-Maskani, a player for the Qatari Al-Duhail team, denied having entered into negotiations with Al-Masry Club Al-Port Said to join the Sahel team during the current summer transfer period.
Speaking to the newspaper “Tunisia Digital”, he added that he did not enter into negotiations with Al-Masry, noting that he has a contract with his current team that will continue until the next summer season (in 2021).
Al-Masakeni, 30, confirmed that he is waiting for his future to be decided in light of the end of his contract next summer.
Al-Masakeni is considered one of the most important players of the Tunisian team, along with the Qatari team, Al-Duhail, since he participated with his current team in 163 games, in which he scored 87 goals and provided 68 assists.
Al-Maskni was able to participate with the Tunisian team in 64 games, scoring 11 international goals.
In the last hours, Al-Masry Club Al-Port Said announced that it was close to signing with a Tunisian professional, without revealing the name of the Sahel club player.
So far, the Port Said club has supported its ranks with six deals by signing the Egyptian club trio Essam Tharwat, Alaa Ata and Mustafa Sultan, and the Zamalek duo Ahmed Rifat and Mohamed Antar, as well as Ahmed Shedid Qenawy from the Military Production team, after the end of their contract.
