Algeria’s players desperately want to break a record for the Egyptian team in the African arena, according to statements by their coach, Gamal Belmadi.
“The Algerian players have a great desire to break the record for undefeated African matches held by the Egyptians,” Belmadi said in remarks published by the Algerian news agency on Tuesday.
Egypt’s team holds the record with 24 consecutive games without a defeat, while the Greens are close to this number, as Belmadi’s team has not been defeated in 20 games.
