On Monday, United States Attorney General William Barr allowed federal prosecutors to continue investigating the allegations backed by evidence about possible wrongdoing during the last presidential election.
Barr urged not to pursue “false or implausible” allegations that were not based on concrete evidence.
It is the first time Barr has spoken after repeated accusations made by US President Donald Trump and various members of the Republican Party about “widespread” fraud, as he described it.
And the American media announced last Saturday night that Biden won the election, becoming the 46th president of the United States.
However, current President Donald Trump rejected the election results, saying they were “stolen elections.”
President Trump’s second term
In turn, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Tuesday refused to recognize the victory of Democrat Joe Biden in the presidential election, promising a “smooth transition” to a second term for President Donald Trump.

Pompeo added that “the world must have full confidence in the fact that the transition process necessary for the State Department to function effectively today, and actively with the president who will take office on the afternoon of January 20 (2021), it will be a successful transition. “
He stressed that “the ministry is fully vigilant so that elections around the world are free, fair and safe, and that my employees risk their lives for that”, considering that his question about the possibility that Trump’s position could undermine their efforts is “absurd”.
Many leaders of America’s allied countries congratulated Biden on his election, including France, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Israel.
But the Republican president insists on refusing to admit defeat and promised to fight in the judiciary to provoke a coup in the result, although he did not present any evidence of “fraud” to convict.
In the Republican camp, a handful of moderate senators admitted defeating Trump, while a few others refused to take this position.
It remains that most of them asserted their right to resort to the judiciary without taking the allegations of forgery seriously.
