In the first comment by Mamdouh Abbas, former president of the Zamalek Club, about the electoral failure of Murtado Mansour, Abbas stressed that he was not interested in what happened.

Mortada Mansour came in sixth in the Mit Ghamr constituency, garnering 21,271 votes as she was out of the race and lost her seat in the middle of the representatives.

Mamdouh Abbas wrote on his Twitter account: “The results of the elections to the House of Representatives belong to the candidates and their districts, and it is not specifically for me.

Later, the former president of Zamalek added: “At first I am interested in the Zamalek club, eradicating the rampant corruption in it, liquidating the corrupt and sources of corruption, so I regret not answering any phone calls.”

Mamdouh Abbas’s relationship with Mortada Mansour is always fierce in his statements against some of them, especially since each side accuses the other of corruption and sabotage of the Zamalek club.

Mortada Mansour had been condemned by the Olympic Committee to remove him from his position as president of the Zamalek Club and not to carry out any sporting activity for four years.

Mortada Mansour filed an appeal with the administrative judiciary against the decision of the Olympic Committee and the appeal has not yet been resolved.

Of note, Zamalek is on a date with a fiery match with Al-Ahly in the final of the African Champions League on November 27.
