Today, Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 97 coronavirus recuperators have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 100,439 cases have recovered from the virus to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 221 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 12 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Monday is 109,422 cases, including 100,439 cured cases and 6,380 deaths.
