Minister of Health: 65% of Corona’s injuries in Egypt belong to “people who rule the house”

Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, said that she noticed a lax application of precautionary measures to face the Coronavirus, noting that the months of December, January and February of each year witnessed an increase in the number of deaths in comparison with other months of the year, and among the main reasons is the increase in respiratory diseases. .

Zayed added, during a telephone interview with journalist Lamees Al-Hadidi on the “Last Word” program broadcast on the “ON” channel on Sunday night: “With the entry of the winter season and the drop in temperature at the beginning of the school year, citizens’ exposure to open spaces increases and the demand for indoor spaces and the stay-at-home period increases.

The Minister of Health and Population continued that exposure to closed places for a long time without applying precautionary measures is the most important factor in the increase in injuries, addressing her speech to the citizen, saying: “It is not reasonable for the State to monitor the citizen if he is obliged or not ”.

He added that the state has implemented balanced measures during the last period, but citizens must increase their commitment to precautionary measures, as was the case in April and May.

As for people who are used to staying indoors most of the time, Zayed cautioned to watch out for some behaviors, especially from people coming from outside the house, such as removing the muzzle and placing it on the table as it It becomes a source of contagion for all members of the house, because it can be infected with the virus and not. It shows symptoms of the disease.

The Minister of Health continued that more than 56% of deaths are over 50 years of age, so they must leave the house to breathe air, but with caution and caution, and not stay indoors for long periods, taking into account wearing masks and washing hands periodically.
