Faraj Amer, president of Smouha Club, explained that his request to borrow the next deal from the Moroccan Badr Banoune Al-Ahly was due to the latter’s position on the closing date of the local list.
The door to local registrations is scheduled to close in Egypt on the 18th of this month, which means that Al-Ahly and Zamalek may face a future crisis due to the final of the African Champions League scheduled for the 27th of the same month.
During radio remarks for “Stadium 9090”, Amer said: “Al-Ahly’s position is difficult regarding Bannon’s registration on the local list due to the date the registration door will be closed.”
He added: “Al-Ahly will need the services of Angolan Geraldo for the African final against Zamalek, and it is difficult for a player of the stature of Bannon to be present without playing.”
He continued: “We asked Al-Ahly to include the Moroccan defender on loan for a period of 3 months, so that Al-Ahly could join him later and register him locally and in Africa during the winter transfer period.”
He continued: “In the event that the Football Association extends the registration gate to Al-Ahly and Zamalek until after November 18, Al-Ahly will have no problems.”
And on thinking about joining Geraldo, he said: “We are not thinking about signing the Angolan player, our focus is only on Badr Bannon.
He continued: “We will have a close session with Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of the Al-Ahly Club, to discuss some files, Mohamed Abdel Moneim continues with us, and Ahmed Yasser Rayan Ward has been largely included.”
Faraj Amer completed his remarks, confirming that Smouha is about to announce, in the next few hours, the contract with an international striker from North Africa.
It is worth noting that Al-Ahly has not yet officially announced the contract with Bannon, defender of the Moroccan Raja.
